The Toronto Blue Jays sign Koby Clemens

The Blue Jays have signed 25-year old righty swinging 1B/3B/OF Koby Clemens to a minor league deal. Clemens played in 126 games in AAA-ball for the Astros last year and he was 90 for 384 (.234 avg, .756 OPS) with 51 runs scored, 16 homers, 55 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. He has now played in 731 games in his first 7 years in the minors and he is 669 for 2,526 (.265 avg, .817 OPS) with 378 runs scored, 95 homers, 433 RBIs and 33 stolen bases. Clemens is likely going to start the 2012 season in AAA-ball for the Blue Jays.
