John Parrish has been lights out in AAA for the Toronto Blue Jays
With the Blue Jays loaded with lefty relievers they decided to convert 30-year old lefty John Parrish into a starting pitcher and he’s doing very well in the minors. Parrish has pitched in 13 games (10 starts) in AAA for the Blue Jays and he is 9-0 with a 2.65 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. He has struck out 79 batters and only allowed 59 hits in 71.1 innings. Parrish is also showing very improved control and that was his major flaw so far in his major league career. Parrish has pitched in 161 games (10 starts) in his major league career and he is 12-12 with 1 save, a 4.63 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP. Parrish was walked an unbelievable 169 batters in 229.1 career major league innings. If Parrish keeps pitching like he is right now the Blue Jays will call him up at some point this season.
